The UGO certification is awarded to companies with an outstanding track record in sustainable and responsible innovation. Despite its capitalised three letter appearance UGO is not an acronym. It is a first name, the Italian equivalent of the English Hugo.

The asterisk symbol continues this real life approach. Not only is its star-like shape an easily recognised stamp of approval, this typographic character also gives the impression of a person enjoying their moment in the limelight.
