National Portrait Gallery, Face of Fashion Identity
Description

National Portrait Gallery, Face of Fashion Identity

In recent years, the National Portrait Gallery has increasingly become interested in portrait photography, and it was an exhibition entitled Face of Fashion for which Thomas Manss & Company was asked to design the catalogue. One of the logics behind the exhibition was to attract younger visitors to the NPG.

From the start, the design was treated much more as a branding exercise than a simple book design. Making the title into a logo or brand also opened up other possibilities for merchandising.
