Photographic Portrait Prize 2014 Catalogue, National Portrait Gallery

The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize has become an annual fixture in the London art calendar. In 2014, the National Portrait Gallery is celebrating the seventh year of its annual snapshot of contemporary portrait photography with a Photographers' Edition signed by gallery Director Sandy Nairn and limited to 100 copies. Much like the regular edition, the book not only lauds the winners, but also introduces the sixty photographs shortlisted for the exhibition.

The catalogue has been designed to be affordable for the younger audience the National Portrait Gallery is aiming to attract. Yet, when seen together the set of seven editions with its understated and consistent design not only represents a unique record of contemporary portraiture, it has also turned into a collectible item for photographers and portrait lovers alike.
